WCSO Releases New Tattoo Details in Search for Murder Suspect Isabelle Johnson
The Walton County Sheriff’s Office released new identifying tattoo details for fugitive murder suspect Isabelle Johnson on Thursday, marking one month since the remains of Jason Christopher Coulthart were discovered buried behind a home on Sunset Lane in Freeport.
Investigators disclosed three specific tattoo features that could help the public identify Johnson, who remains at large and is considered dangerous. She is believed to have a rose or flower tattoo on her left hand, beginning below the thumb and extending toward her index finger. She also has a tattoo of unknown design on her right ankle. The most distinctive new detail: a large scorpion tattoo extending from her left buttock down her left thigh — a marking that would be difficult to conceal and highly recognizable if seen.
The sheriff’s office also reiterated that Johnson may have recently cut and dyed her hair to alter her appearance. She is described as a white female, approximately 5 feet 3 inches tall and 120 pounds, with brown hair and hazel eyes. She is known to use multiple aliases — including Harley, Jessica Elaine Bowman, Jessica Elaine Thrush, Jessica Elaine Thrash, Jessica Dowdy, and possibly “Denise” — and has ties to Okaloosa and Walton counties in Florida, as well as areas in Georgia and lower Alabama.
Five people have been arrested so far on charges of accessory after the fact to a capital felony, accused of helping Johnson evade law enforcement between June 25 and June 30. The U.S. Marshals Task Force has joined the search, and a total reward of up to $16,000 remains available for information leading to Johnson’s arrest — $11,000 from Emerald Coast Crime Stoppers and the Florida Sheriffs Association Criminal Apprehension Assistance Program, plus an additional $5,000 from the U.S. Marshals under its own reward guidelines.
Anyone with information about Johnson’s whereabouts is urged to contact the Walton County Sheriff’s Office at (850) 892-8111, or remain anonymous by calling Emerald Coast Crime Stoppers at (850) 863-TIPS (8477), submitting a tip at emeraldcoastcrimestoppers.com, or using the P3 Tips mobile app. Authorities stress that Johnson should not be approached — call 911 immediately if spotted.
