On Patrol: Live Features Freeport Murder Case in National BOLO for Isabelle Johnson
The manhunt for Isabelle Johnson reached national television audiences this weekend when On Patrol: Live broadcast a BOLO alert on the REELZ network, featuring the fugitive wanted for the murder of Jason Christopher Coulthart in Freeport.
The Walton County Sheriff’s Office amplified the segment via its social media channels, posting “It’s only a matter of time, Isabelle. We will find you.” alongside the broadcast graphic showing Johnson’s mugshot, age (38), height (5'3"), and weight (120 lbs), branded with the On Patrol: Live and REELZ logos. The segment introduced Johnson to viewers across the country as a “BOLO for Walton County Woman — Wanted for Murder,” expanding the search beyond the Florida Panhandle to a national audience.
The national exposure comes as the search enters its seventh week. Johnson has been on the run since June 25, when Coulthart’s remains were discovered buried in a shallow grave behind a home on Sunset Lane in Freeport. The 43-year-old Niceville man had been reported missing from his home in May. Five people have been arrested on charges of accessory after the fact to a capital felony for allegedly helping Johnson evade law enforcement between June 25 and June 30, and the U.S. Marshals Task Force has joined the hunt.
Major Dustin Burlison reinforced the agency’s stance in a parallel social media post the same day, warning that anyone assisting Johnson faces arrest. “We will put anybody in jail who helps her in any shape, form, or fashion,” Burlison said, referencing the ongoing WJHG coverage of the case. The sheriff’s office has previously disclosed that Johnson is known to manipulate people by fabricating stories of domestic violence or personal hardship to secure rides, money, or shelter.
A reward of up to $16,000 remains available for information leading to Johnson’s arrest — $11,000 through Emerald Coast Crime Stoppers and the Florida Sheriffs Association Criminal Apprehension Assistance Program, plus an additional $5,000 from the U.S. Marshals.
