Memorial Day 2026: Remembering Those Who Gave Everything

Today we pause to honor the brave men and women who gave everything for our freedom.

We remember those who never made it home, the families who carry their memory every day, and the quiet strength behind every flag placed in their honor.

To the families in Freeport and across Walton County who know this sacrifice firsthand—we see you, and we honor them alongside you.

May we never forget what was given, and may we always strive to be worthy of it.
