Freeport Businesses Eligible for 2027 Perfect in Walton County Awards
Walton County Tourism is accepting nominations for the 2027 Perfect in Walton County Awards, and businesses across the county — including Freeport — are eligible for recognition.
The nomination round runs through Aug. 14, with final voting scheduled Aug. 31 through Sept. 18. Winners will be announced at an awards presentation in January 2027. Businesses from north or south of Choctawhatchee Bay qualify, as long as they primarily serve visitors in Walton County.
In each category, the five businesses with the most nominations advance to the final voting round. The top three vote-getters in each category will be recognized as Diamond, Platinum, or Gold winners and promoted in print and online by Walton County Tourism throughout the year.
Freeport sits north of the bay along the Highway 20 and US 331 corridors, and its restaurants, outfitters, and service businesses that cater to travelers passing through to the coast are well-positioned for nomination. Residents can submit nominations through the form on the Walton County Tourism awards page, and final-round voting will take place at perfectinwaltoncounty.com.
Nominated businesses must primarily serve visitors in Walton County. Walton County Tourism has noted that no marketing firm or service can legitimately secure nominations or guarantee a win — all recognition is determined by public vote.
