WCSO Releases New Aliases and Tattoo Details in Search for Isabelle Johnson
The Walton County Sheriff’s Office has released updated aliases and tattoo identifiers for fugitive murder suspect Isabelle Johnson, who remains at large more than seven weeks after the remains of 43-year-old Jason Christopher Coulthart were discovered buried on a property off Sunset Lane in Freeport.
She is known to go by Harley, Jessica Elaine Bowman, Jessica Elaine Thrush, Jessica Elaine Thrash, Jessica Dowdy, and possibly “Denise.” Johnson frequently moves locations and often convinces others to help her by telling sympathetic stories involving domestic violence or other personal hardships.
Johnson, 38, is wanted on an open count of murder in connection with the death of Coulthart, a Niceville man reported missing in late May. His remains were found June 25 on a property off Sunset Lane in Freeport, following information from the Niceville Police Department. Five people have been arrested on charges of accessory after the fact to a capital felony, accused of helping Johnson evade law enforcement between June 25 and June 30.
Investigators have released distinctive tattoo descriptions that remain critical to identifying Johnson. She has a rose tattoo on her left hand, a tattoo of unknown design on her right ankle, and a large scorpion tattoo extending from her left buttock down her left thigh. The sheriff’s office has warned that Johnson may have recently dyed and cut her hair to alter her appearance, making the tattoo identifiers especially important for public recognition.
Johnson is described as a white female, approximately 5 feet 3 inches tall and about 120 pounds. She has ties to Okaloosa and Walton counties in Florida, as well as several areas in Georgia and lower Alabama.
Up to $16,000 in reward money remains available for information leading to Johnson’s arrest. Emerald Coast Crime Stoppers and the Florida Sheriffs Association Criminal Apprehension Assistance Program jointly offer $11,000, with tipsters able to remain anonymous through Crime Stoppers. The U.S. Marshals Task Force offers an additional $5,000 under separate stipulations that require tipsters to provide identifying information, which is kept confidential.
