Walton County Planning Commission to Meet August 13 in Freeport
The Walton County Planning Commission will hold its next regular meeting on Thursday, August 13, 2026, at 4:00 PM at the Freeport Board Room, located at 842 State Highway 20 East in Freeport.
The Planning Commission serves as Walton County’s primary advisory body on land use and development matters. Under Chapter 163 of the Florida Statutes, the commission reviews major development applications, comprehensive plan amendments, and proposed changes to the Land Development Code, forwarding recommendations to the Board of County Commissioners for final action. The panel meets regularly at the Freeport Board Room, which also houses the county’s Planning and Development Services office at 842 State Highway 20 East, Unit 110.
The August 13 meeting continues what has been an active year for the commission.
