Freeport Opens Fall Co-Ed Softball Registration
The City of Freeport has opened registration for its fall co-ed adult softball league, inviting residents to gather their teams and sign up for the upcoming season.
The announcement came Thursday from the city’s Parks and Recreation Department via its official Facebook page. The post directs players to the city’s online registration portal at freeportfl.rja.revize.com, where team managers can roster their squads and individual players can sign up to be placed on a team.
Freeport’s co-ed softball league is a staple of the city’s recreational offerings, run through the Parks and Recreation Department. The league plays at the city’s softball fields, with games typically held on weeknight evenings under the lights. Previous seasons have drawn teams from across the Freeport area, and the fall season — colloquially known as “Fall Ball” — gives players a chance to extend their time on the diamond after the spring and summer campaigns wrap up.
The city’s softball program has grown steadily in recent years, with the registration portal moving to an online platform through Revize, the same content management system the city uses for its official website. The move has streamlined the signup process, eliminating the need for in-person registration at City Hall.
Registration details including fees, season start dates, and game schedules are available through the online portal. Players without a team can register individually and will be assigned to a squad needing players.
